He was a Soviet-Russian science fiction author. Arkady together with his younger brother Boris were notable writers of the 20th century. They contributed to the world fame of Russian sci-fi literature. He wrote several works on his own under the pen-name S. Yaroslavtsev. Arkady graduated at the Military Institute of Foreign Languages, in 1949.
